Das Deutsche Marinekorps (The German Marinecorps)
Copyright 1999 by Andreas Seidel

This fictional organisation is an amphibious unit, which is first tested in the Spanish Civil War
and then used in WW2. Since the unit itself is fictional, some of the scenarios are too, others,
though, are quite real (Sevastopol and Thermopylae for example). Only one scenario (Malta) has
been kept from the original ones. There is a sea-shore landing in EVERY scenario, and you have
ships in EVERY scenario, too.

What's REALLY unusual in this campaign
1) Ships as core units. This is something that was never thought possible before, but it's quite
easy here. Unfortunately, you only have what you get in the first mission.
2) SPECIAL units (and I mean really special). I've made some amphibious units, or rather units
that can land and reembark a lot quicker than normally and are independant of the number of ship
transports available. I have also managed to simulate helicopter (yes, these were around) carried
infantry. These will probably be available only in a few missions, not as core units.
3) No air force available. In some missions, rather many sometimes, your air force is either not
capable of deploying at first or is so far away that you can use it in the battle by the second
or third turn. You have to take an airfield to improve this situation. For the time being,
however, you'll be at the mercy of the enemy's planes.

!!! Important !!!
You have to download new maps from the web before you can play the campaign !!!
Download the new maps here: http://w1.1661.telia.com/~u166103891/

4) This campaign uses the following new maps: Panzer01; Narvik; Bardia;
Sevastopol; England.

(All maps but Narvik are made by Lasse Jensen, Narvik is by Martin Mangei)

Installation
a) Unzip the file and put all files into your PG2/SCENARIO directory, execpt for the files EQUIP97.EQP
and EQUIP.TXT which you have to put in the main directory of PG2.

b) The campaign requires the following new maps: Panzer01, Bardia, Narvik, Sevastopol, England,
(all of which are available from Lasse Jensen's page: http://w1.1661.telia.com/~u166103891/)

Place this maps in the PG2/SCENARIO too.

PROBLEMS:
There are a few problems with the special units, especially the airborne one. You see,
the plane works like a normal transport, so you can fly over an enemy unit and then,
in the next turn, you will have two units in the same hex. With me, the following happend:
my unit had replaced the Russian one, but it could not move, could not be selected or attacked.
It had, however, captured the enemy hex. So, my advice is never put this unit right on top of
another one. The amphibs - it seems to work only with tanks, at least it doesn't work with recon units.

That's all. Enjoy the campaign and give me lots of feedback, be it good or bad!
